This peer-reviewed, open access journal provides three portals that bring together multiple perspectives to develop community-university collaborations, reflect on their outcomes and implications for policy, practice, and public scholarship. These portals include action research scholarship; community perspectives and new ways of thinking about partnerships; and student reflections on experiences with public scholarship and service. The journal was established in 2017 through a partnership of The Collaborative Center at Rutgers-New Brunswick and the University of Miami.
Collaborative Center Newsletter
The newsletter represents an opportunity for student-interns and staff to communicate feature stories that highlight a community partner project; report on an annual event such as an Alternative Spring Break; a Student Spotlight interview; and Quick Links to resources that inform and support our partnerships.
The Collaborative Center, in conjunction with the Siena College Research Institute (SCRI) and Rutgers Office of Institutional Research and Academic Planning (OIRAP), conducts the
National Assessment for Service and Community Engagement (NASCE) at Rutgers. Called the RU Engaged survey, it leads to an analysis of quality and quantity of self-reported student engagement that contributes to Rutgers Collaborative Center's academic planning and project partnerships.
